So Where's The Value In The 2011 World Snooker Championship?

a) Total Frames 589-592 (Spreadex)

Most of the totals markets are dependent on how well the table is playing -if it's running true and at a good speed then the centuries and ton-ups markets will both be exceeded. But this market usually finishes around the six hundred mark -however the table is performing. Over the last few years, the standard in world snooker has been raised, with any of the top 32 players capable of making it into the semi-finals of this tournament. So we believe that there may well be some long nights ahead at the Crucible and some classic matches that go down to the wire.
Buy @ 592 (Spreadex) and get ready for those long drawn out matches...

b) Final Ton-Ups
Over the last few years, the finals have failed to produce a spectacle of break-building -maybe its because they have been tense affairs or maybe the players are concentrating on falling over the line in each frame? Well if we get two fantastic break-builders like Higgins and Selby then this market could go well over 100.
Buy @ 75 (Sporting Index) and watch out for a priceless maximum!

If you can't pick a winner of the 2011 World Snooker Championship, but want an interest in every single match -then why not get involved in the Tournament Totals market?

The three big firms have Mark Selby (43-47 Sporting Index) as slight favourites for the trohpy, ahead of Higgins. The 'Jester from Leicester' is a magnificent break builder and seems to perform better every year at The Crucible. His price will go out though if Higgins gets past O'Sullivan.
Two-time World Champion John Higgins (35-39 Spreadex) would be a clear favourite if he wasn't on course to meet Ronnie O'Sullivan in the quarter-final. Showed he was back with an amazing comeback against Mark Williams earlier this season. He loves this venue and is our tip for the title.

The hopes of a billion people once again fall on the shoulders of Ding Junhui (35-38 Sporting Index). It can't be long before he wins the World Championship and this could be his year! He is in the tougher half of the draw and will have to beat Selby in the quarter-finals if he is to progress.
Another player back to form is Welshman Mark Williams (31-34 Sporting Index) who was champion back in 2000 and 2003 -so he obviously loves the place.

And so onto the enigma that is Ronnie O'Sullivan (30-34 Sporting Index) -it's like backing Pakistan at cricket, you never quite know which one is going to turn up and whether they are totally interested in what they are doing! We all know he could win the title left-handed -but can he be bothered?
The defending champion, Aussie Neil Robertson (27-31 Spreadex), hasn't lived up to his champion tag so far this season -but he wasn't setting the world on fire going into last season's tournament. A more likely victor from this quarter of the draw would be Ali Carter (25-28 Spreadex) who always seems to turn it on in Sheffield.
